FK Irons Exo Tattoomachine
The Exo from FK Irons is a modular tattoo machine and works wired with a conventional power supply as well as RCA connection or wireless. The wireless version comes with 2 powerbolt batteries. To anticipate: every tattoo artist will be happy with this machine.
Technical input on the FK Irons Exo
The Exo is the first modular tattoo machine from FK Irons. The proven 9-watt motor of the FK Irons Spektra Flux was installed. This machine is the perfect choice if you want to work with the power of the Spektra Flux and at the same time be prepared for anything - no matter if using a cable is the best option under the given circumstances or if you want to work wireless.
Offered in 3 different stroke lengths: 2.5, 3.2 or 4.0 mm. The stroke is not interchangeable, so you have to choose! This Exo is optimally designed for lining or coloring. You need fewer passes to saturate the color, which reduces trauma to the skin.
When used with the RCA bolt, you can theoretically pair the machine with the FK Irons Hover power supply to activate E-Give. However, the app required for this is currently only operational in the US. We will inform you as soon as the technology is also available in Europe. You can then use it to determine the power of the needle when it hits the skin.

Product comparison FK Irons Spektra Flux versus FK Irons Exo
The Spektra Flux was the first pen-style wireless device with removable batteries, full bluetooth connectivity and a whole new sense of freedom. Now, with the Exo, FK Irons picks up where that feeling left off - intensifying it even more, because the Exo allows for wireless and corded work. The freedom seems limitless.
First impression: the Spektra Flux looks massive and down-to-earth, the Exo stands out with a spectacular, modern exterior. Both color models make an impression.
The Spektra Flux's standard grip has a diameter of 33 mm. The Exo is larger and more ergonomic with 40 mm of diameter. Due to the forward weighted shape, the Exo scores in terms of comfort.
The 9-watt motor has proven itself and is identical in both machines.
Good to know: the powerbolt batteries of the Spektra Flux and the Exo are compatible with each other. So if you own a Spektra Flux with a 4.0 mm stroke, it makes sense to buy the Exo with 2.5 or 3.2 mm in the version without powerbolt batteries, because they will already be in your range.
Which strokes of the Exo are suitable for what?
- 2.5 mm for gray and black
- 3.2 mm for gray, black and coloring
- 4.0 mm for Allrounder, traditional artists, gray and black is hard to do with this stroke
In contrast, by choosing Spektra Flux you have purchased an optimal machine for lining and coloring.
Faster healing processes of the skin can be proven with both models. Many tattoo artists who have tested both machines agree on this.
Watch:
The ports are each compatible with most USB-C cables on the market. However, it is recommended to use the included cable to charge the powerbolt.
Both require cartridge needles with an inner membrane. This prevents accidental contamination of the machine. Liquids such as paint, water or oil will void the machine warranty and may require replacement of internal parts.
E-Give works with both machines, however the Dark app required for E-Give use is currently US exclusive. We will add a note in the item description once the possibility is also available in Europe. All case components (grip, housing and powerbolt) are covered by a lifetime warranty. Internal parts are subject to wear and tear and the motor itself is covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase.
Useful tips when using the FK Irons Spektra Flux or FK Irons Exo
The following tips will help you, whether Spektra Flux or Exo, to get the most out of your machine and avoid potential problems:
- Always secure your machine. Dropping the machine can damage the magnets, bearings and brushes of the motor.
- Use only cartridges with membranes to avoid contamination.
- Flush out the needle frequently to prevent the pigment from drying out and slowing down the cartridges. When rinsing the needle be careful to immerse only the tip of the cartridge to avoid backflow of fluids.
- Check the needles before use.
- Avoid scratches on the surface of the embodiments.
- Use only FDA-approved cold sterilization solutions for disinfection.
- Do not lubricate machine unless otherwise specified.
- Store your machine in a safe place.
- Charge the battery for at least 3 hours before first use.
